The Consular Passport and Visa (CPV) Division of the Ministry of External Affairs is responsible for the issuance of the Indian Passport to Indian Citizens. Passports are issued to Indian citizens from 30 locations across the country and 163 Indian missions abroad.
Regional Passport Office, Delhi is primarily responsible for issuance of
Indian Passports to the Citizens of India who are residing within its
jurisdictional area and also to the residents of nine Districts of Haryana
namely Gurgaon, Rewari, Faridabad, Sonipat, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Nuh, Mewat and Mohindergarh.
Proof of Address(any legal documents like Ration Card, Electricity/Telephone
bill, etc).
Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate or any document which should be
approved by District or Educational Certificate).
Government/Public Sector/Statutory body employees should submit “Identity Certificate” in original along with Standard Affidavit.
Requirements for Minor's Passport (up to 18 years):
A Declaration, affirming the particulars furnished in the application about the minor child
to be signed by parents.
Attested photocopy of original passport(verified) of parents.
If one parent is resident abroad, a Sworn affidavit by the parent resident abroad attested by the Indian Mission along with affidavit from parent residing in India as well be submitted.
